The Settings You’ll Work In:

As a Social Care Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of vital services, including:

  • Learning Disabilities (I.D) Services: Supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and enjoy meaningful lives.
  • Day Services: Providing essential care and companionship to people in day care settings, fostering social inclusion.
  • Respite Care: Offering short-term relief and support to families and carers, enabling loved ones to recharge.
  • Domestic Violence Support: Providing compassionate care to those affected by domestic violence, helping them to rebuild their lives in a safe, supportive environment.

The Role:

  • Provide person-centred care that supports the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
  • Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Offer emotional support to service users and their families, helping them navigate challenges with dignity and respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to deliver holistic care and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Document care plans and progress notes in line with best practice standards.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
  • Experience in social care or a related field is desirable, but we are also happy to provide training for the right candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A compassionate and resilient approach, with a strong sense of empathy and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role you must have:
Experience working with intellectual disabilities /Residential care
level 7/8 in social care.
