At Access Healthcare we are looking for dedicated and qualified registered nurses to join our agency team in Cork City This role is varied shift patterns during the weekdays in a clinical setting and working with patients in the community. As a registered nurse, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient health.
- Pratical experiences with access Port-A-Caths, peripherally inserted central catheters lines, or Hickman lines; draw blood needed for lab values; and educate patients about line maintenance.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Support patients with daily activities and provide emotional support.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active NMBI registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or other relevant nursing qualification.
- Oncology Care Experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting (ICU, Medical-Surgical, or similar is a plus).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high standards of patient care.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different healthcare settings.
Requirements:
- Garda vetting or willingness to complete vetting.
- Up-to-date certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), manual handling, and infection control.
- Valid work authorization for Ireland.
