Access Healthcare are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Nurse to join our Agency and work with dynamic Cardiac Catheterization Lab teams. As a Cath Lab Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will work closely with cardiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Procedures: Prepare and assist in various cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasty, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and other interventional cardiology procedures.
- Patient Care: Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as needed.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment, ensuring all instruments are properly sterilized and functional.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to changes in patient condition during procedures, performing life-saving measures when necessary.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care, procedures, and any incidents, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Registration: Currently holding a NMBI Pin required.
- Certification: BLS and ACLS certification required. CCRN certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab, ICU, or Cardiology unit preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
